Atletico 5 - 0 Grilled

e crowd of 3101 turning up at El Carrousel Aurinegro today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Håkon Lien was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Thilivhali Ngoyi and Petre Filimon. Atletico had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Alas - Turan, Drago, van den Burg - Fabius, Vinterhall, Moisescu, Hagellius, Enache - Slyngborg, Davidsson.

Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Bao-Tam - bin Che Lah, Tuan-Mu, Seng-Huat - Barbour, Paullin, Rottman, Spirig, Kolesov - Fernández Riviera, Hjortlind.

Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Atletico took the lead 2 minutes into the game by 1 to 0, as Børge Bo Slyngborg elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Atletico put themselves up 2 - 0 when Jörn Vinterhall broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. After this, Atletico lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. Grilled's Nor Suhaimi bin Che Lah got himself booked for a foul. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased Atletico's lead to 3 - 0 as Børge Bo Slyngborg finished it off competently, firing from an acute angle. After 23 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Petter Davidsson might have resulted in another goal for Atletico. However, Hang Bao-Tam made a spectacular save. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Atletico held the ball, with a clear 65 percent of possession.

Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Børge Bo Slyngborg squirmed himself through their central defence after 48 minutes, bringing the lead to 4 - 0. By then Børge Bo Slyngborg was a three time scorer - a hat trick! The referee showed Grilled's Ulf Hjortlind the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. There wasn't much opportunity for rapid movements on this wet day, which hindered Lorenz Paullin in particular. Atletico put themselves up 5 - 0 when Børge Bo Slyngborg broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. The referee showed Atletico's Petter Davidsson the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The player down was Lan Tuan-Mu. The Grilled bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. Atletico claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 76 percent.

The most dominating Atletico player was without a doubt Rodrigo Alas. Ionicã Enache was a disappointment, however. Grilled's best player was Jon Andrea Rottman. Antonio Fernández Riviera on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 0.
