Grilled 2 - 3 Penguins

ear skies welcomed the 35017 spectators who had made their way to The Cooking Pot. Vivian Gliga was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Aebi Groop and Sebi Kolber. Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Dias Paes - Árva, Lik-Tsun, Talib - Penati, Branbilla, MacKinnon, Han Kok, 达荣 (Darong) - Rotteveel, bin Ku Zainol.

Penguins started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. They fielded: You De - Berman, Geosits, Amora - Lubawski, Bultinck, Sun Nee, Emmeloord - Mowat, Kronabether, Tze Sian.

Pressing was the tactic of the day for Grilled. Maikel Rotteveel gave Grilled the lead with 1 - 0, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. Grilled's Nawaz Talib got himself booked for a foul. John MacKinnon could have put Grilled up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 12 minutes. At this time in the match, Grilled were using their skill at pressing to successfully put pressure on their opponents. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Grilled scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Maikel Rotteveel after 15 minutes. The structure of the game started to change as Grilled decided to pull back and meet their opponents in their own half. Halftime score was 2 - 0. This half belonged to Penguins, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

47 minutes into the match, Penguins replied and reduced the lead to 2 - 1. Kyle Mowat scored on a marvellous cross pass coming in from the left. Coming through the middle Hennes Kronabether almost scored the equaliser for Penguins after 78 minutes, but Valdir Dias Paes made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post. The crowd was silenced 79 minutes into the match as the visiting team's Luo Tze Sian came in from the left, levelling the score to 2 - 2. Penguins took the lead 80 minutes into the game, scoring the 2 - 3 goal after some elegant plays down the middle. Hylke Emmeloord was the scorer. Penguins held the ball, with a clear 57 percent of possession.

Grilled's top performer was clearly Subri bin Ku Zainol. Zoltán Árva was a disappointment, however. Most important Penguins player was Su Sun Nee. Hylke Emmeloord on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 3.
