Joker clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Some beautiful plays on the left side of the field resulted in a goal after 6 minutes by Gianni Di Pietro for Joker, putting them ahead 1 - 0. Grilled's Ulf Hjortlind got himself booked for a foul. 22 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 1 - 1 as Ola Martinsson struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right. They were singing the praises of Gianni Di Pietro 34 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from just outside the centre part of the opponent's penalty area found its way over the visitors keeper to make the score 2 - 1 for Joker. 37 minutes into the game Grilled's Shen Kek-Tjiang found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 2 - 2. 2 - 2 was the halftime score. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 54 percent possession of the ball.

Joker had a good opportunity to take the lead as Gianni Di Pietro came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of Clair Harlow. The home side put themselves ahead 3 - 2 after 69 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from Roel van der Hoeven, who, unaided, came in from the right wing hooking the ball over the visitors' keeper. With 79 minutes played, Joker put themselves up 4 - 2 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Gianni Di Pietro, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. By then Gianni Di Pietro was a three time scorer - a hat trick! A bit later, Grilled's Ola Martinsson easily reduced to 4 - 3 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

The most dominating Joker player was without a doubt Cole Ball. Gianni Di Pietro was a disappointment, however. Most important Grilled player was Shen Kek-Tjiang. Lorenz Paullin was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 3.
