Tomoto 1 - 1 Grilled

ouds darkened the skies at Tomoto fruit Arena as 37914 spectators turned up for the match. Mirco Kranz was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jędrzej Biesiadziński and Elwin de Vrijer. Tomoto decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. The following players had been chosen: Arno - Rimbeaux, Kousoulakis, Skogsten - bin Ashaari, Malpede, Rasing, Jie Kiong - Fallot, Singh, Galansky.

Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Dias Paes - Árva, Lik-Tsun, Talib - Penati, Branbilla, MacKinnon, Spirig, Han Kok - Rotteveel, bin Ku Zainol.

They were singing the praises of Maurice Rimbeaux 13 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from just outside the centre part of the opponent's penalty area found its way over the visitors keeper to make the score 1 - 0 for Tomoto. The referee showed Tomoto's Ursin Fallot the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Aris Kousoulakis had a fantastic opportunity to put Tomoto up another goal 37 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Subri bin Ku Zainol finished off a quick charge from the left of the field by chipping the ball just past the home side's keeper, making the score 1 - 1 37 minutes into the match. Grilled's Maikel Rotteveel was shown a yellow card after 38 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Tomoto held the ball, with a clear 60 percent of possession.

53 minutes into the game, Maikel Rotteveel almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Tomoto's Jonas Skogsten got himself booked for a foul. Maikel Rotteveel had a good try after 69 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. Tomoto's counterattack was impressive and was only stopped by a shocking foul. Somehow, the referee's cards remained in his pocket - a terrible decision! Gianluigi Malpede's resulting free kick was easily saved by the keeper. Tomoto's Aris Kousoulakis left the field after 72 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Roberto Soliz. 77 minutes into the game, Ibrahim bin Ashaari had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Czesław Lesiński. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Tomoto, with an impressive 59 percent possession of the ball.

Ursin Fallot performed admirably for Tomoto. Czesław Lesiński turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Valdir Dias Paes. However, Ciro Penati made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 1.
