Grilled 9 - 0 BonGGie
654 spectators had come to The Cooking Pot this cloudy day.
Vincenzo Sailer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Stefano Noordhof and
Hans Morgansson. Grilled tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Dias Paes - Ãrva, Lik-Tsun, Talib - Penati, Branbilla, MacKinnon, Spirig, Han Kok - bin Yaacob, bin Ku Zainol.
BonGGie started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Lineup: 剑豪 (Jianhao) - å¾·å¿ (Dezhong), bin Abu Jaafar, bin Aziz, Ming Fu - å·ä»² (Chuanzhong) , ä¿Šå‘ (Junfa), bin Zainal, bin Abd Rani - bin Sarman, bin Mahadzir.
Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Some great play up the middle by Grilled led to a chance for
Subri bin Ku Zainol to get the go-ahead goal after 2 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar.
Subri bin Ku Zainol's name was chanted throughout the stadium after his goal up the middle after 13 minutes gave Grilled the 1 - 0 lead. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, BonGGie's
姚 (Yao) å·ä»² (Chuanzhong) got himself booked. Cheers filled the stadium as
Dani Spirig broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the 2 - 0 goal for Grilled.
Mohd Farid bin Abd Rani of BonGGie received a yellow card after 26 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
Zoltán Ãrva squirmed himself through their central defence after 33 minutes, bringing the lead to 3 - 0. Grilled solidified their lead at the 38 minute mark, as
Dani Spirig manoeuvered the ball through the opposing central defence and finished for 4 - 0. Confident in their lead, Grilled decided to play a more defensive game at this point. 4 - 0 was the score after the first half. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 87 percent.
49 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
Dani Spirig dashed through, knocking home 5 - 0 for Grilled. That made three goals for
Dani Spirig and he was marked down for the hat trick.
Ciro Penati of Grilled was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Grilled's
Dani Spirig refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 63 minutes.
Subri bin Ku Zainol acted with superior experience when, 68 minutes into the match, he predicted a pass, intercepted it and then finished off with a goal. 6 - 0 for Grilled! A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's
Zoltán Ãrva putting the lead up to 7 - 0. After an industrious effort down the middle,
Subri bin Ku Zainol could have closed the game off after 76 minutes, but his finishing shot hit the post. The defenders were clearly outwitted by Grilled after 77 minutes. The disciplined free kick combination shifted the ball quickly to one side of the box, then back to the other.
Quah Han Kok appeared on cue near the post, and steered it past the goalie. 8 - 0. Grilled managed to extend their lead to 9 - 0 when
Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. 79 minutes in, Grilled's
Dani Spirig received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 89 percent of possession.
Most important Grilled player was
Valdir Dias Paes.
Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob on the other hand, had a terrible day. BonGGie's top performer was clearly
Samin bin Zainal.
辜 (Gu) å¾·å¿ (Dezhong) was a disappointment, however. The match ends 9 - 0.
