Grilled were relying on their ability to counter-attack. John MacKinnon knocked the corner to Zoltán Árva who had the whole net open before him, but his attempt hit the post. The referee showed Grilled's Zoltán Árva the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. It was a bad day for the usually speedy Ciro Penati. The mud seemed to slow him down. Arrogancae had a chance to take the lead on Roberto Valiardo's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled away as his shot went just over the bar after 26 minutes. The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 41 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from Einar Hansen, who, unaided, came in from the right wing hooking the ball over the visitors' keeper. The home side's Freerk Dorrepaal came close to extending the lead 42 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but Valdir Dias Paes managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Grilled's Subri bin Ku Zainol got himself booked. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. Arrogancae enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

Arrogancae put themselves up 2 - 0 when João Ferreira broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. Cheers filled the stadium as Freerk Dorrepaal broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the 3 - 0 goal for Arrogancae. Grilled fought on and, after 72 minutes, Maikel Rotteveel was able to reply with the 3 - 1 goal after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. Arrogancae held the ball, with a clear 55 percent of possession.

Arrogancae's top performer was clearly Zmejko Nadzakov. Einar Hansen was a disappointment, however. Most important Grilled player was Subri bin Ku Zainol. Ciro Penati turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
