Singapore 3 - 2 Grilled

033 punters turned up at The Dome Of The White Lion, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Cyril Briantais was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Pythagoras do Carmo Gentil Fornel and Kevin Pesten. Singapore had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Xiaolun - Hee-Jun, Almbrant, Sörensson - Andertorp, Örnskog, Jonsson, Olsson, Aparisi Miralles - Andersson, Stjerning.

Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Harlow - Dewilde, Tuan-Mu, Alcántara - Siu-Yue, Kek-Tjiang, Noor Yadah, Stanton, Dai-Lin - Martinsson, Hjortlind.

Grilled's Ma Dai-Lin was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - Ulf Hjortlind managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 0 - 1 after 16 minutes. Singapore's Lin Hee-Jun made a successful breakthrough on the left after 25 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. Singapore's Robin Andersson refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 26 minutes. Martin Stjerning was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for Singapore with a strike from the left, but Clair Harlow managed to ward the closing shot off to a corner. Ulf Hjortlind came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle, but he lifted the ball over Chew Xiaolun and it was a little too high and hit the bar. Grilled increased the lead to 0 - 2 as Ola Martinsson scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Singapore claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

59 minutes had been played and the home team was awarded a penalty. The guest's keeper dived the right way, but Michael Sörensson was still able to reduce the score to 1 - 2. Singapore's Robin Andersson put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored the 2 - 2 goal with 66 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. After a fine move down the middle Martin Stjerning nearly gave the home side a goal after 70 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though. Singapore took the lead, 3 - 2, after a penalty 72 minutes into the match. Michael Sörensson scored from the penalty spot. After 74 minutes Singapore's Martin Stjerning contracted a slight foot injury, but could finish the game. Singapore's Michael Sörensson had an excellent opportunity after 80 minutes, shooting on a through ball down the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Singapore held the ball, with a clear 57 percent of possession.

Most important Singapore player was Mats Olsson. Alfonso Aparisi Miralles on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Aznan Noor Yadah. Luis Alcántara on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 2.
