Grilled 3 - 2 Singapore
000 spectators had come to The Cooking Pot this cloudy day.
Kasper Påske was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mónico Pech and
Demarcus Alonso. Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Bao-Tam - Rottman, Pakpao, Dewilde - Dai-Lin, Siu-Yue, Noor Yadah, Stanton, Ju-Hau - Hjortlind, Martinsson.
Singapore tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Kamphuis - Hee-Jun, Almbrant, Sörensson - Andertorp, Olsson, Örnskog, Jonsson, Aparisi Miralles - Andersson, Stjerning.
After a fine move down the middle
Zhan Ju-Hau nearly gave the home side a goal after 5 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though. With 20 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as
Ulf Hjortlind flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. With 24 minutes played, Grilled's
Ulf Hjortlind tried to nail the coffin shut, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
Joop Kamphuis was caught napping as
Ola Martinsson lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Singapore's
Mats Olsson got himself booked. Grilled put themselves up 2 - 0 when
Au-Yong Siu-Yue broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. Singapore will have to do without
Robin Andersson for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 39 minute mark. He was substituted by
Jan Ragnin. 2 - 0 was the halftime score. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 53 percent possession of the ball.
After 58 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
Ola Martinsson might have resulted in another goal for Grilled. However,
Joop Kamphuis made a spectacular save. One of many good passes from
Ma Dai-Lin at the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by
Ulf Hjortlind, scoring the 3 - 0 goal for Grilled. The structure of the game started to change as Grilled decided to pull back and meet their opponents in their own half. With 69 minutes played,
Ulf Hjortlind could have brought this one home for Grilled as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.
Martin Stjerning had a couple of good opportunities to reply, but the home team's keeper
Hang Bao-Tam just wouldn't surrender. In a rapid move 77 minutes into the match,
Martin Stjerning of Singapore lost his man, passed the ball to the unmarked
Jan Ragnin who easily hit it home for the 3-1 goal. Singapore managed to reduce to 3 - 2 as
Alfonso Aparisi Miralles finished off a well-played combination from the left, carving through the defensive box. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 53 percent of possession.
The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Aznan Noor Yadah.
Jon Andrea Rottman on the other hand, had a terrible day. Singapore's best player was
Patrik Jonsson. However,
Alfonso Aparisi Miralles made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 2.
