Andronache 5 - 6 Grilled
10 spectators arrived at Ionel Danciulescu Stadium, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Alvar Noé was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Teemu Pajulahti and
Murat Deriaz. Andronache had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Chefe - Zübert, Dumitru, Dumitru - Pătraşcu, Dinulescu, Ibárrola, Savu - Urbalu, Lucq, Magraner.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Grilled. The following players had been chosen: Bao-Tam - Deme, Alcántara, Tuan-Mu, è¾¾è£ (Darong) - Penati, Mirchev, Spirig, Chowdhury - bin Selamat, bin Yaacob.
Andronache tried to focus their attacks down the middle. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Grilled on this day. A peculiar volley from
Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob almost resulted in a goal, but
Ciro Penati wasn't able to exploit the well-timed pass. Andronache took the lead after 14 minutes, as a result of
Alex Ibárrola's awkward, but ultimately successful, shot from the right. 1 - 0.
Weng Seng-Huat was called on to replace Grilled's
Luis Alcántara after 22 minutes following a nasty collision.
Dani Spirig was handed the Grilled captain's armband. After 29 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 1 - 1 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by
Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob. The left side created an opportunity for the visitors 29 minutes into the match, and
Dani Spirig wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 1 - 2 for the visitors. After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 35 minutes into the match, an alert
Goe Pătraşcu bagged the ball for Andronache, levelling the score to 2 - 2. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 37 minutes allowed
Dani Spirig to score the 2 - 3 goal for Grilled. It was 2 - 3 at the break. Neither team was controlling the action at this point in the match.
The corner kick from
Ivaylo Mirchev set
Sándor Deme up perfectly, as he soared to meet the ball, heading it in for 2 - 4. The structure of the game started to change as Grilled decided to pull back and meet their opponents in their own half. The visitors'
Sándor Deme took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and central backs 72 minutes into the match. 2 - 5 for Grilled. Andronache refused to be intimidated and, breaking through the middle,
Cristian-Daniel Dumitru managed to slip the ball home for 3 - 5. At 87 minutes into the game, Andronache's
Risko Urbalu deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 4 - 5. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Andronache's
Mircea Dinulescu a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 88 minutes into the game. The player down was
Ahmad Tharmini bin Selamat. The Grilled bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. A foul 90 minutes into the game resulted in a free kick for Andronache.
Mircea Dinulescu took advantage as he curled the equalising goal into the top corner, just out of the reach of the keeper. 5 - 5. Grilled's
Ciro Penati was shown a yellow card after 90 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Andronache enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.
Not having decided a winner at the end of regulation, the match went into extra time. The guests took the lead 94 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in
Ciro Penati scoring the 5 - 6 goal. Game over, Grilled wins!
Alex Ibárrola performed admirably for Andronache.
Lucien Zübert turned in a dismal performance, however. Grilled's best player was
Dani Spirig. However,
Lan Tuan-Mu made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 5 - 6.
