Grilled 1 - 0 UDNTK
e 95100 spectators at The Cooking Pot were in for an afternoon of sunshine.
Gonzalo Obregón was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Fulvio Clausi and
Valerian Potritten. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Grilled. Starters: Dias Paes - Zywczyn, Lik-Tsun, Ãrva, Talib - Penati, Branbilla, Spirig, Han Kok - Rotteveel, bin Ku Zainol.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for UDNTK. Lineup: Beato - Lai, Lik-Muk, Duy-Thanh - Tsung-Cheng, Su Jun, å®å¾· (Baode) , Huat Wei, bin Mohamed Shukri - De Kang, Seol.
Grilled were relying on their ability to counter-attack.
Low De Kang came close to putting the visiting team one up 14 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but
Valdir Dias Paes managed to tip the ball to a corner. The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 16 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
Quah Han Kok, who, unaided, came in from the right wing hooking the ball over the visitors' keeper. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. UDNTK claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.
53 minutes in, Grilled's
Sylweriusz Zywczyn received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. When
Sylweriusz Zywczyn made yet another studs-first tackle after 55 minutes, the referee was obliged to book the Grilled player for the second time, sending him off the pitch.
Quah Han Kok didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. Grilled's opponents know to be wary of
Ciro Penati's speed, but it made little difference as he blew past the defence 72 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive! This half belonged to UDNTK, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.
Grilled's top performer was clearly
Quah Han Kok.
Ciro Penati on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Homer Beato performed admirably for UDNTK. On the other hand,
Wu Tsung-Cheng's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 0.
