Manos had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. They fielded: Drãgoi - de Tena, Jindamai, Passarelli, Ljutić - Devold, Bancone, Rodrigues, Watson, Kaktos - Salverda.

Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile Tapesh Chowdhury. Grilled took the lead 24 minutes into the game by 1 to 0, as Dani Spirig elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Manos got a chance to level the score as Dan Jindamai suddenly found himself free with only the 'keeper to beat, but the finishing shot hit the bar. Grilled's Subri bin Ku Zainol was shown a yellow card after 27 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. Manos claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

47 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 1 - 1 as Jerry Salverda struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right. Some great play up the middle by Grilled led to a chance for Subri bin Ku Zainol to get the go-ahead goal after 51 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Sándor Deme of Grilled received a yellow card after 52 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Fredrik Devold of Manos was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. This half belonged to Manos, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

As neither team was able to get the go-ahead goal before the end of regular play, the teams took to the field again for extra time. Manos's Dan Jindamai was shown a yellow card after 99 minutes for slicing down an opponent. As usual, Joaquín de Tena tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard on this day and he couldn't keep pace at all. Luis Alcántara gave Grilled the lead with 2 - 1, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. Extra time over, Grilled were the victors!

Grilled's top performer was clearly Valdir Dias Paes. However, Luis Alcántara made a disastrous appearance. Manos's top performer was clearly Franck Rodrigues. Stavros Kaktos turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
