Bluedragon 3 - 6 Grilled
870 spectators arrived at Great Bluedragon Stadium, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Andreas Wall was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Janne Kytömäki and
Piotrek Maguda. People from all over had joined up for the derby. Bluedragon had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Jeremy - Eyal, Wennborn, Geurden - Magnusson, Farrington, Roux - Irvan, Manaf, Wai-Ming.
Grilled tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Bao-Tam - Alcántara, Tuan-Mu, Dewilde - Dai-Lin, Noor Yadah, Rottman, Kek-Tjiang, Siu-Yue - Hjortlind, Martinsson.
Bluedragon clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
Giman Husaini gave Bluedragon the lead with 1 - 0, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Grilled's
Ma Dai-Lin put the ball in the net after 25 minutes to make it 1 - 1. After 32 minutes, Grilled put themselves up by 1 - 2, as
Luis Alcántara finished off a strike from the left with a real cannon placed at the far post. Grilled's
Luis Alcántara received a play slashing through the home side's central defense after 34 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 1 - 3 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. 38 minutes into the game,
Fredrik Wennborn had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
Dieter Dussler. The visitors'
Ulf Hjortlind took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and central backs 38 minutes into the match. 1 - 4 for Grilled. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 4. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 69 percent of possession.
Bluedragon's
Johan Magnusson was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box -
Gai Wai-Ming managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 2 - 4 after 51 minutes. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when
Dieter Dussler, after a brilliant midfield combination through the middle, reduced the lead to 3 - 4.
Ulf Hjortlind increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 3 - 5.
Johan Dewilde really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by
Au-Yong Siu-Yue after a corner. Grilled's
Ulf Hjortlind received a play slashing through the home side's central defense after 68 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 3 - 6 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. By then
Ulf Hjortlind was a three time scorer - a hat trick! The structure of the game started to change as Grilled decided to pull back and meet their opponents in their own half. Bluedragon had to manage with a reduced squad after 73 minutes, as
Giman Husaini got sent off for a needless foul away from the game's action. After 81 minutes Bluedragon's
Harmen Geurden limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 71 percent possession of the ball.
The most dominating Bluedragon player was without a doubt
Frangky Manaf.
Dieter Dussler was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Aznan Noor Yadah. However,
Hang Bao-Tam made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 6.
