GBR had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Vikwald - Shiu-Hun, Rahmgård, Thorkvist - Westerkvist, Chalmers, Canonica, Andersson, Krysiuk - Falkenstål, Sunesson.
GBR clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Grilled broke through on the left 5 minutes into the game, with
Ola Martinsson firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. Grilled added another goal to their lead as
Ola Martinsson struck home the 2 - 0 goal after an attack from the left set him up unmarked in front of the keeper. The structure of the game started to change as Grilled decided to pull back and meet their opponents in their own half. The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 25 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving
Örjan 'Pavan' Falkenstål completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper. The referee showed Grilled's
Au-Yong Siu-Yue the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Ola Martinsson almost managed to score another goal for Grilled, coming from the right, but his header was tipped to a corner by the visitors' keeper. After 33 minutes, GBR's
Bengt Sunesson surprised everyone as he managed to intercept a pass intended for the opposing keeper and flip it in, making the score 2 - 1. Halftime score was 2 - 1. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 55 percent possession of the ball.
57 minutes into the game GBR's
Örjan 'Pavan' Falkenstål found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 2 - 2. GBR took the lead 66 minutes into the game, scoring the 2 - 3 goal after some elegant plays down the middle.
Kjell 'Gute' Westerkvist was the scorer. Grilled's
Zhan Ju-Hau left the field after 72 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
Ma Dai-Lin. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.
The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Aznan Noor Yadah.
Jon Andrea Rottman on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating GBR player was without a doubt
Ulf Andersson.
Tomek Krysiuk was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 3.
