Grilled 1 - 4 Harriers

irly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 3269 to The Cooking Pot. Lars Gerstl was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Octave Libert and Engelbert Konijn. Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Öhmo - Tuan-Mu, bin Che Lah, Siu-Cheung - Fernández Riviera, Siu-Yue, Rottman, Kolesov, Magnusson - Hobson, Stern.

Harriers had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation. They fielded: Backman - Wolfer, Gerber, Waser, Wilczynski, Mayer - MacKay, Hastings, Ferahet - Cottier, Couto.

It was an obvious ambition of Grilled to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Harriers. A foul after 23 minutes resulted in a free kick. Joe Stern cannonballed it, giving the home team the lead 1 to 0. The referee showed Harriers's Korcan Ferahet the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Hartwig Waser finished off the counterattack from the left rather easily, scoring 1 - 1 for Harriers. Kau Siu-Cheung received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 39 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. After a fine move down the middle Lan Tuan-Mu nearly gave the home side a goal after 42 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though. Harriers were pushed back, and had many dangerous counterattacks. An impressive one came 45 minutes into the match, but Gabriel Gerber narrowly missed the free kick attempt that was awarded as a result of a foul. Asser Wolfer of Harriers received a yellow card after 45 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. A swift counterattack by Harriers resulted in a free kick that Gabriel Gerber elegantly twisted into the goal - 1 - 2! Jon Andrea Rottman of Grilled received a yellow card after 45 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Grilled's Joe Stern made an attempt at equalising 45 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 67 percent of possession.

53 minutes into the game, Joe Stern came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar. 66 minutes in, Harriers's Gabriel Gerber received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 69 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Dänu Cottier who increased Harriers's lead to 1 - 3. Gaspar Couto increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 1 - 4. By now, Harriers were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 60 percent of possession.

Grilled's best player was Au-Yong Siu-Yue. However, Antonio Fernández Riviera made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Harriers player was without a doubt Gabriel Gerber. Korcan Ferahet on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 4.
