Winnie 1 - 5 Grilled

250 punters turned up at StAdE PrInCeSSe WiNNiE, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Antonio Bonafonte was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Quintin Floret and Ivo Haddad. Winnie started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. Lineup: Leong Ho - Carnoy, Yih Lin, Nellemann - Brito Malta, Roa, van Zijderveld, Bernborn - Reiswig, Naharro, Ortiz.

Grilled decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Abed-Sulaiman - Zywczyn, Talib, Bona - van Liere, Han Kok, Jie Siong, Spirig, Kek-Tjiang - bin Yaacob, Mirchev.

Winnie clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Today, Grilled's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. Grilled's Hidde van Liere gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 27 minutes with a superb strike from the right. With a shot floated in from just outside the penalty area after 38 minutes played, Simón Reiswig of Winnie evened the score to 1 - 1. Winnie's Bert Nellemann got himself booked for a foul. Unfortunately for Grilled, Hidde van Liere was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. Allan Ødegaard replaced him. 1 - 2 was the score with 42 minutes played, after Grilled's Ivaylo Mirchev cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal. 42 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 3 as Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. 1 - 3 was the score after the first half. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

With the scoreboard showing that 48 minutes had been played, Grilled nearly put themselves up another goal after Quah Han Kok came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. Grilled came close to extending their lead as Dani Spirig delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 59 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. Yip Leong Ho got a fingertip on Ivaylo Mirchev's shot from the left 68 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. Grilled increased the lead to 1 - 4 as Sylweriusz Zywczyn scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for Grilled. Quah Han Kok increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 1 - 5. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 57 percent of possession.

Winnie's top performer was clearly Joakim Bernborn. Yip Leong Ho on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Grilled player was Quah Han Kok. Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 5.
