Czestochowa 6 - 2 Grilled
80 punters turned up at Stadium of Voltage, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came.
Lars Szepan was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Schorsch Helbing and
Fedor van Harsselaar. Czestochowa tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Guc - Wenzl, Dang-Khoa, Paradowski - Kujawa, Dziewocki, Kapsa, Kaczanowski, Jedynak - Norrstedt, Lukaszczyk.
Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Huel-sheng - Alcántara, Tuan-Mu, bin Che Lah - Kolesov, Siu-Yue, Stanton, Blissenbach, Magnusson - Chiew-Yen, Stern.
Grilled's 0 - 1 goal came on a questionable penalty, but
Joe Stern struck that one home without a second thought. A well placed corner kick from
Olgierd Paradowski was followed by
Daniel Jedynak's hard but accurate header. The nice combination marked a goal for Czestochowa, the score now 1-1. After 19 minutes of play,
Pawel Lukaszczyk gave the home team a 2 - 1 lead after an attack coming in from the right. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 53 percent possession of the ball.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased Czestochowa's lead to 3 - 1 as
Jens Norrstedt finished it off competently, firing from an acute angle. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by
Helmut Wenzl. At last, Czestochowa's
Piotr Kaczanowski was able to shove the ball in. 4-1. Czestochowa put themselves up 5 - 1 when
Helmut Wenzl broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. By now, Czestochowa were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. 62 minutes in, Czestochowa's
Jens Norrstedt received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Czestochowa's
Olaf Kujawa putting the lead up to 6 - 1. After an industrious effort down the middle,
Pawel Lukaszczyk could have closed the game off after 77 minutes, but his finishing shot hit the post. Grilled fought on and, after 78 minutes,
Asher Stanton was able to reply with the 6 - 2 goal after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 53 percent of possession.
Czestochowa's best player was
Piotr Kaczanowski.
Olaf Kujawa was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Asher Stanton.
Luis Alcántara on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 6 - 2.
