BlueNite 0 - 5 Grilled

ercast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 1579 at St Anfort today. Stanislaw Natorski was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Anton Yuzpullenko and Vladislav Plutov. BlueNite started off with a 5-4-1 lineup. They fielded: Chee-Beng - bin Yakub, Syn-Tek, Fa-Hsien, Minh-Duy, Hsiao-Lou - Kyung-Yul Lai-Fu, Hai-Liang, Soon-Gui, bin Malik - Jong-Sik.

Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Huel-sheng - Alcántara, Pakpao, Siu-Cheung - Magnusson, Blissenbach, Stanton, Noor Yadah, Kolesov - Chiew-Yen, Stern.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of BlueNite. Grilled saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Asher Stanton received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 4 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. 8 minutes into the game, Joe Stern was a hair's breadth away from giving Grilled the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by Cheung Chee-Beng saved the home team that time. Joe Stern delivered a good free kick from an excellent position 15 minutes into the game, but luck wasn't on Grilled's side this time and the ball went wide. After 17 minutes Joe Stern made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to Chen Chiew-Yen who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 0 - 1. With 18 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Chen Chiew-Yen. 23 minutes in, BlueNite appeared unsure on how to play and their organization was only inadequate. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 78 percent possession of the ball.

During the break, BlueNite's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to divine organization. 48 minutes into the game, Grilled worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. A great pass from the defensive line of BlueNite resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by Pan Fa-Hsien in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. 77 minutes into the game, BlueNite seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organization. After 82 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Aznan Noor Yadah who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 3. Grilled's Aznan Noor Yadah left the field after 85 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Zhan Ju-Hau. Luis Alcántara increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 4. Chen Chiew-Yen increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 5. At that, Chen Chiew-Yen was noted down for a hat trick. After this, Grilled lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. 89 minutes into the game, BlueNite seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a weak level of organization. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 82 percent of possession.

Most important BlueNite player was Koo Minh-Duy. However, Kong Kyung-Yul Lai-Fu made a disastrous appearance. Grilled's best player was Zhan Ju-Hau. Luis Alcántara on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 5.
