By now, Grilled were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. With 37 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 5 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Tim Blissenbach. Some fine manoeuvring on the left led to a Grilled goal after 37 minutes, making it 0 - 6. Luis Alcántara was noted down as the scorer. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 6. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 69 percent of possession.

Mohd Zakaria bin Othman wasn't much help defensively. His energy-consuming forward runs proved quite costly in the oppressive heat. 74 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 7 as Au-Yong Siu-Yue finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
