This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when Ulf Hjortlind slipped through the defense on the right to come up alone against Bob Arendtsen, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. After 8 minutes Nibenit's Esben Grønkjær limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. 9 minutes into the game, Shen Kek-Tjiang almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 25 minutes allowed Qiu Swee Pheng to score the 0 - 1 goal for Grilled. It was 0 - 1 at the break. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 81 percent of possession.

The visitors' Qiu Swee Pheng took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and central backs 54 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Grilled. Ulf Hjortlind was, after 60 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but home side's keeper Bob Arendtsen made the save. This half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 82 percent of the time.

Bernard Beltman performed admirably for Nibenit. However, Gert Jacobsen made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Shen Kek-Tjiang. Lim Chuan Jing was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
