Grilled 4 - 1 Shadow
000 spectators had come to The Cooking Pot this cloudy day.
Glenn 'Slippery' Andersen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Lúcio Alagoano and
François Nägeli. Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Bao-Tam - Alcántara, Tuan-Mu, Dewilde - Dai-Lin, Ju-Hau, Tellskär, Kek-Tjiang, Noor Yadah - Hjortlind, Kearney.
Shadow had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Borglind - Norheim, Eric, Young-chul - Long, Raskborg, Larsson, Jansson, Lien-Ying - Hsien-Feng, Bin-Gee.
Shadow clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. Grilled took the lead 9 minutes into the game by 1 to 0, as
Ulf Hjortlind elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
Stefan Raskborg made a run for the goal 13 minutes into the game but the home team's far left defence managed to sort the situation out in the end. 18 minutes in, Shadow's
Chye Lien-Ying received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Grilled were forced to a substitution as
Luis Alcántara couldn't continue playing due to the rough treatment, forcing
Nui Pakpao to come in from the sidelines. Grilled put themselves up 2 - 0 when
Zhan Ju-Hau broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. Grilled put themselves up 3 - 0 when
Lan Tuan-Mu broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. 3 - 0 was the halftime score. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.
A great save by keeper
Dan Borglind after 56 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
Ma Dai-Lin struck from the left with a real cannonball. After 57 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
Wilson Kearney might have resulted in another goal for Grilled. However,
Dan Borglind made a spectacular save. After an industrious effort down the middle,
Ma Dai-Lin could have closed the game off after 73 minutes, but his finishing shot hit the post. The referee showed Shadow's
David Eric the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. A well placed corner kick from
Ulf Hjortlind was followed by
Wilson Kearney's hard but accurate header. The nice combination marked a goal for Grilled, the score now 4-0. The structure of the game started to change as Grilled decided to pull back and meet their opponents in their own half. The away team reduced the score to 4 - 1, as
Ming Hsien-Feng struck home, set up well by a play on the left 85 minutes into the match. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 63 percent possession of the ball.
The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Daniel Tellskär.
Hang Bao-Tam on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Shadow player was without a doubt
Stefan Raskborg.
Zhu Bin-Gee on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 1.
