Geylang 4 - 4 Grilled
e to an all-day shower, 37265 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Geylang Eagles United Arena.
Carlo Loria was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Dean Gray and
Ard Claren. Geylang started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Adkins - Gustavsson, Fui-Gna, Hong-gil - Yueh-shiou, Ditã, Torsson, Ojala - Jie-Quan, Ser-Kiat, Hoang-Huan.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Geylang. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Geylang's
Aristide Ditã got himself booked. With 11 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.
Shen Kek-Tjiang put the ball away for 0 - 1. Grilled's
Johan Dewilde made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 19 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender sprang up, clearing the ball on the line.
Tomas Torsson showed why he is feared on the counterattack, scoring for Geylang after 22 minutes to make the score 1 - 1. Grilled will have to do without
Hang Bao-Tam for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 32 minute mark. He was substituted by
Cheung Huel-sheng. Geylang's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing
Tsai Jie-Quan to score easily from the right flank for 2 - 1. The referee was not popular with the home supporters after he awarded Grilled a controversial penalty after 40 minutes.
Ulf Hjortlind made no mistake, levelling the score to 2 - 2. 2 - 2 was the halftime score. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 62 percent.
Grilled took the lead 56 minutes into the game, scoring the 2 - 3 goal after some elegant plays down the middle.
Wilson Kearney was the scorer. With 63 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 2 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was

Daniel Tellskär of Grilled received a yellow card after 69 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when
Tsai Jie-Quan, after a brilliant midfield combination through the middle, reduced the lead to 3 - 4. Due to some great work on the right wing Geylang's
Tsai Jie-Quan was able to even the score after 72 minutes to make the score 4 - 4. By then
Tsai Jie-Quan was a three time scorer - a hat trick! The game was close to savage at times, and Geylang's
Aristide Ditã received a second yellow card after 73 minutes, his ticket out of the game. Geylang's
Lim Fui-Gna left the field after 76 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
Cao Pei-Hao. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 74 percent of possession.
