Grilled 1 - 0 Razer
e 51868 fans in attendance at The Cooking Pot were roasting in the hot sun.
Massimo Di Mambro was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Randy Senseman and
Henri Metso. Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Abed-Sulaiman - Fredgård, Bona, Zywczyn - Spirig, Paullin, Kek-Tjiang, Han Kok, van Liere - Martinsson, Simon.
Razer decided to use a 4-3-3 set up. The following players took the field: Jiao-Long - Tellbrant, Wee-Hwa, McDonald, Patel - Kitrattana, Shen, Winckler - Hellell, Hyun-Shik, Payer.
For their match strategy, Razer had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Grilled's
Anders Fredgård got himself booked for a foul. After a fine move down the middle
Lorenz Paullin nearly gave the home side a goal after 27 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though. Grilled fans held their breath as
Anders Fredgård scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the go-ahead goal for 1-0! 36 minutes in, Grilled's
Hidde van Liere received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 75 percent.
Good work by Razer's defensive line produced a couple of good counterattack chances, one of which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found
Daniel Hellell alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. The sun seemed to put
Ola Martinsson in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long.
Dimitri Simon had a fantastic opportunity to put Grilled up another goal 82 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. With 85 minutes played,
Ola Martinsson could have brought this one home for Grilled as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. The sunny day didn't make things easy for
Udom Kitrattana who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch.
Ola Martinsson unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. After 88 minutes Razer's
Kev McDonald contracted a slight foot injury, but could finish the game. This half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 76 percent of the time.
Most important Grilled player was
Ola Martinsson.
Fabian Bona on the other hand, had a terrible day. Razer's best player was
René Winckler.
Kev McDonald on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 0.
