It was obvious that Grilled were using their pressing skill as their primary tactic. Chemistry used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Chemistry's
Yusman bin Salim gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 6 minutes with a superb strike from the right. The visitors'
Mohamed El Boubakri took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and central backs 27 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Chemistry. At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for Chemistry. Grilled pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. With 37 minutes played, Chemistry put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
Qin Caen-Khim. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. Chemistry held the ball, with a clear 54 percent of possession.
Chemistry's
Eric Niklasson received a play slashing through the home side's central defense after 60 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 4 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one.
Zong Kum-Leong was, after 75 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but home side's keeper
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman made the save. Chemistry held the ball, with a clear 57 percent of possession.
Grilled's best player was
Lorenz Paullin. However,
Shen Kek-Tjiang made a disastrous appearance. Chemistry's best player was
Michael Bryant.
Martin Železnik turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 4.
