Grilled 2 - 0 Chemistry
043 spectators arrived at The Cooking Pot, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Todd Barrera was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Vincent Windhager and
Dymitr Plichta. Grilled decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Abed-Sulaiman - Fredgård, Bona, Zywczyn - Kek-Tjiang, Han Kok, Spirig, Paullin, van Liere - Martinsson, Simon.
Chemistry started off with a 4-3-3 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Lantos - Chang Chin, Dong Tse, Huat De, Kai-Xi - Niklasson, Karlsson, Caen-Khim - Chin Long, Ladzim, El Boubakri.
Chemistry tried to focus their attacks down the middle. Grilled were very close to putting themselves one up after 11 minutes as
Anders Fredgård got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. After a fine move down the middle
Dimitri Simon nearly gave the home side a goal after 25 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though. 26 minutes into the game, a swerving free kick by
Sylweriusz Zywczyn almost resulted in the home team taking the lead, but the shot glanced harmlessly off the frame of the goal. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 73 percent of possession.
Anders Fredgård's name was chanted throughout the stadium after his goal up the middle after 57 minutes gave Grilled the 1 - 0 lead. 58 minutes in, Grilled's
Fabian Bona received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Chemistry were forced to a substitution as
Brúnó Lantos couldn't continue playing due to the rough treatment, forcing
Yann Jolly to come in from the sidelines. Grilled managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when
Dimitri Simon cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Chemistry's
Eric Niklasson was shown a yellow card after 74 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 72 percent of possession.
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman performed admirably for Grilled.
Ola Martinsson turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Chemistry player was
Zou Kai-Xi.
Shahrulnizam Ladzim on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 0.
