Rancher Rabbits stopper Ghaffur Ramzi would gain a trial contract with Farmer Bunnies today, with the speedy 17 year-old convincing the senior coaches of his further potential. Rabbits scout Tong Han Kong vouched for Ramzi's dedication to the game. "There's a long way to go with this one." Tong promised. "Ghaffur just needs more exposure with better players."

The Buns' new Number 22 would perhaps unavoidably be overshadowed by his replacement with the Rabbits, as Shankar Tallapaka - the son of head coach and Buns legend Vishnu - finally joined up with the youth side, after short stints in Spain and Italy with foreign academies. Reportedly, no palatable offers had been made, which had Shankar register with the Rabbits as he nears seventeen himself.

Assessments about the second-generation footballer were mixed, with some talk that he was far from a natural tackler, unlike his father at the same age. What is undeniable is his natural pace, which had allowed him to recover quite often against forwards in the same age group - but it remains to be seen if that will be enough to take him to the professional ranks.

As it is, Bunnies head coach Vishnu Tallapaka has officially recused himself from any club decisions regarding Shankar. "No comment."
