Crawford Cool Catt
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines legend
Jerome Crawford's stay at The Cooking Pot would last but half a season, as he left on a S$2 million transfer to original club Jabba the Catt today. This represents a popular homecoming for the 36 year-old, who will be looking to earn the longtime SVG Premier League competitors their first national title, after three runners-up finishes in the last four years.
Birds head coach
Dan Alstani could hardly deny Crawford the request, all the more given that he could not guarantee the veteran a role in any case. "We have brought our fair share of youth players back home, and in Jerome's case, this is hardly just sentimental. He still has what it takes to help a team to the very top."
Crawford appears to have built up quite a following in the dressing room in his short time here, however, and word is that some of his teammates had not taken to his departure very well. "Quite a few of us have earned caps, but he was something else."
Hein Thiha Pyae Ko mused. "He was like a force of nature at times."
