Grilled Birds fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For newbies are newbies, the formation of choice was 3-5-2. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+5) level with that tactic. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Gandhik Chitre caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 9 minutes. This gave Grilled the 1 - 0 lead. 27 minutes in, newbies's Li Choon An received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Chen Meng Heng tied the game at 1 - 1 after 28 minutes, when he converted an incredible pass from the right. Romeo Gasparroni was in no condition to play on. He left the field limping after 31 minutes, with his right thigh bandaged. Kishore Panjabi tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. Grilled took the lead 33 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as 元気 (Genki) 長野 (Nagano) elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Grilled increased the lead as Gandhik Chitre struck to make the score 3 - 1 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Au Kong Su made a quick rush after 36 minutes, but 元気 (Genki) 長野 (Nagano) had no problems keeping up the pace and stopped the attack. A questionable free kick call just outside the home side's penalty area gave newbies a chance at reducing the score 39 minutes into the match. In the end, the ball went wide. 3 - 1 was the score after the first half. newbies enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

Grilled put themselves up 4 - 1 when Brian 'Was Born' Reddy broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Hwang Teck Fu pulled the strings in the build-up. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Grilled to 5 - 1 as Gandhik Chitre finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. This third goal completed a hattrick for Gandhik Chitre. Coming from the right, 元気 (Genki) 長野 (Nagano) almost managed to score another goal for Grilled, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. 元気 (Genki) 長野 (Nagano) would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Raúl Himadas entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 85 minutes. With 元気 (Genki) 長野 (Nagano) no longer on the pitch, Raúl Himadas became the new set pieces taker. After 85 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Darko 'Donnie' Andrović off the field. Paulino Trindade took his place. As Mohd Marzuki Khairul had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the Grilled player a red card without batting an eyelid. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) gave Damian Hutter a quick hug as he left the field. Lim An Keng was handed the Grilled captain's armband. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 4 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! 91 minutes in, Au Kong Su made an incredible run up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but Radomil Marcol refused to let the ball slip by him. With 92 minutes gone, Grilled had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, Chad Thach did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. The match ends 5 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to newbies, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

Grilled's best player was Gandhik Chitre. The most dominating newbies player was without a doubt Au Kong Su.
