Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 2 minutes allowed Mohd Marzuki Khairul to score for Grilled. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Lau Leong Huat got himself booked. The manager of Football was not happy. After 11 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Chad Thach a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. The corner kick from Raúl Himadas was powerfully met by the head of Lim An Keng to make the score 0 - 3. Grilled came close to extending their lead as Gandhik Chitre delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 26 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. The game was close to savage at times, and Football's Lau Leong Huat received a second yellow card after 27 minutes; his ticket out of the game. Lim An Keng received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 31 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 4. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Hwang Teck Fu pulled the strings in the build-up. A penalty was awarded after 38 minutes, and Raúl Himadas made the most of his chance to put Grilled up by another goal. 0 - 5 for the visitors. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 5. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 85 percent of the ball.

Lim Kum Kuan's fine footwork caused nothing but headaches for 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai). The keeper wasn't fooled however, and confidently scooped up the ball. With 57 minutes played, Mahesh Shenoy of Football fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. After 61 minutes, Grilled's Lim An Keng burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 6. By then Lim An Keng had scored three goals - a hat trick! Football had a brilliant opportunity to reply as Ho Ho Xin received a high ball from the right, striking the ball in the air. Only Dahan Bok's reflexes saved him. Football needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 70 minutes Lam Wan Yao made way for Cheong Chi Aik. Grilled's Chad Thach was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 72 minutes. The home crowd cheered when, after 81 minutes, Lim An Keng's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. After 84 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Hwang Teck Fu who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 7. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let Chan Ze Han" class="awayplayer">Chan Ze Han replace Gandhik Chitre after 89 minutes. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Mohd Marzuki Khairul gave Paulino Trindade a quick hug as he left the field. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 3 minutes as stoppage time. After 90 minutes, Grilled secured the 0 - 8. Hwang Teck Fu, always a physical player, created some space for himself where there used to be a defender and then applied the finish!
