As the teams prepared to start the match, they both lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+8) level with that tactic. The visiting Raúl Himadas was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 7 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. Chad Thach of Grilled took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 14 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2. After 20 minutes, Grilled's Aw Keng Chuan burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 3. With 24 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Lim An Keng. The visitors' Gandhik Chitre took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 30 minutes into the match. 0 - 5 for Grilled. 0 - 5 was the halftime score. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 62 percent.

Chia Kwang Tse of Grilled received a yellow card after 62 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Aw Keng Chuan wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 80 minutes into the game by 元気 (Genki) 長野 (Nagano). Bischofshol's fans were urging them forward as they tried to get back into the game, and their vocal support was rewarded 85 minutes into the match as Abdelqayyoum Chakara ran onto a beautiful ball played through the visitors' defence and slotted it past the keeper to reduce the deficit. 1 - 5. Andrea Di Rosa laid it on a plate with that delivery! 86 minutes into the game, Grilled were awarded a penalty and Raúl Himadas was able to increase the visitors' lead to 1 - 6 rolling the ball in by the right post. Bischofshol's Andrea Di Rosa got the home crowd going when he finished off a left wing charge, reducing the away team's lead to 2 - 6. 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 88 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 2 - 7. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Hwang Teck Fu pulled the strings in the build-up. 88 minutes into the game Bischofshol broke through on the left wing and Abdelqayyoum Chakara managed to reduce the lead to 3 - 7. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Gandhik Chitre gave Mohd Marzuki Khairul a quick hug as he left the field. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Darko 'Donnie' Andrović reluctantly made way for Kendell El Khateeb on the pitch. After 89 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Mohd Marzuki Khairul a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 3 - 8. A precise pass from Chia Kwang Tse made the goal possible. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 4 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 3 - 8. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

Abdelqayyoum Chakara performed admirably for Bischofshol. Most important Grilled player was Hwang Teck Fu.
