GKS Tychy (Tochigi) started the game in a 3-5-2 formation, whereas
Grilled Birds lined up in a 2-5-3 formation.
(Tochigi) demonstrated their
divine (+1) creative tactics on the field.
Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their
divine (+7) level with that tactic.
Grilled took the lead 4 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle.
Chad Thach was the scorer. A precise pass from
Lim An Keng made the goal possible.
Grilled came close to extending their lead as
Aw Keng Chuan delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 17 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting.
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy had to face the wrath of his coach after he accidentally slipped the ball into his own goal. 1 - 1.
Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. The visiting
Aw Keng Chuan was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 32 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score.
Grilled's
Hein Thiha Pyae Ko made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 37 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. With 38 minutes played,
Aw Keng Chuan nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar.
Konstantinos Koukoglou's fine footwork caused nothing but headaches for
Chia Kwang Tse. The keeper wasn't fooled however, and confidently scooped up the ball. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to
Grilled, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
Hwang Teck Fu after 47 minutes, and prevented
Grilled from going up another goal. After 48 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
Hwang Teck Fu a chance to increase the lead for
Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 3. At 49 minutes into the game,
(Tochigi)'s
Tarek Mabrouk deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 2 - 3. An accurate cross from
Hein Thiha Pyae Ko of
Grilled was met with a wonderful glancing header from
Lim An Keng, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 2 - 4. As the 65 minute mark approached, the
Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Hein Thiha Pyae Ko reluctantly made way for
Darko 'Donnie' Andrović on the pitch.
Bonifác Chvastáš caused mayhem in his own defensive line with some mad dribbles within his own penalty area, but
Grilled's
Gandhik Chitre's shot went just wide.
(Tochigi) didn't give in and with 76 minutes played
Bahman Hayeri was able to make the score 3 - 4 after an attack on the right. A precise pass from
Tarek Mabrouk made the goal possible. Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 77 minutes into the match.
Raúl Himadas surely wishes he could do that free kick over again. After 89 minutes, the
Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
Chad Thach off the field.
Mohd Marzuki Khairul took his place. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a
Grilled substitution.
元気 (Genki) 長野 (Nagano) came on for
Hwang Teck Fu. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact.
Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. After 90 minutes,
Grilled's
Raúl Himadas burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 3 - 5. The match ends 3 - 5.
Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.
Tarek Mabrouk performed admirably for
(Tochigi).
Grilled's top performer was clearly
Lim An Keng.
