Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+7) level with that tactic. Giler Parée caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 18 minutes. This gave Eagle Eyed the 1 - 0 lead. The visitors didn't give in and, after 21 minutes, Gandhik Chitre got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1. Hwang Teck Fu pulled the strings in the build-up. 1 - 2 was the score with 35 minutes played, after Gandhik Chitre cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Grilled. Giler Parée showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 39 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 2 - 2 equaliser away. Halftime score was 2 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 54 percent of the ball.

A mistake by the home side's central defence after 50 minutes allowed Darko 'Donnie' Andrović to score for Grilled. The scoreboard now read 2 - 3. After 72 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Hwang Teck Fu who increased Grilled's lead to 2 - 4. Chad Thach of Grilled received a yellow card after 73 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Aw Keng Chuan came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over Braco 'Beachy' Kosten but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. Grilled's Lim An Keng soared above the crowd, but couldn't knock the corner home 77 minutes into the match. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Raúl Himadas reluctantly made way for Damian Hutter on the pitch. As Raúl Himadas exited the field, Aw Keng Chuan volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. Darko 'Donnie' Andrović would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Paulino Trindade entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 89 minutes. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Hwang Teck Fu gave Kendell El Khateeb a quick hug as he left the field. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 1 minute. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! Eagle Eyed's fans were urging them forward as they tried to get back into the game, and their vocal support was rewarded 89 minutes into the match as Hamzah 'Der Bomber' Muayad ran onto a beautiful ball played through the visitors' defence and slotted it past the keeper to reduce the deficit. 3 - 4.
