Hein Here

Grilled Birds head coach Tian Yonghang had evidently not been dissimulating in verifying the club's interest in midfielder Zhang Chuanyu, as he announced the signing of 26 year-old former Myanmar national teamer Hein Thiha Pyae Ko, for approximately S$10.2 million. This comes only two months after Hein had won his first cap in a 1-0 victory over Zambia, followed by a 0-4 defeat to the Kyrgyz Republic.

Hein's first-ever hat-trick this morning against SK. Vorwärts Steyr in an 8-0 win only reinforced the Birds' determination to recruit him, with Tian certain enough in his judgment to offer Hein the storied Number Eighteen jersey, which was accepted. "It's been worn by some of our greatest stars, such as Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim and Wu Jinglong. And from how much room Hein has to grow, he could become as good as any of them!"

Tian considered Grilled Birds fortunate that the player had been transfer-listed at an awkward time in the window, with their only competition thus being Italian V.12 side Oronzo Caná Football Team. The Venice club had brought in Tanzanian former U-20 defender Simon Mrope but several weeks back, however, and their board evidently thought it unwise to draw on their reserves any further for now.

"We had our people really scouring the globe for reinforcements." Tian added. "We were in talks for KaraHisar Kalesi's Slovak star Róbert Metelička, and had also considered former Congolese youth international Arthman Kilosho, with Belgium's VK Trappen Steels asking for eight million. But neither of them have quite the ceiling that Hein offers."

Certainly, Hein's personal record has been one of continued development and success, after leaving H.A.L club Patologiczne Mastodonty Pakują Hummus i TapiokęTur at the first opportunity on his seventeenth birthday. A first three-week stint in Croatia with Nemoj po glavi druže plavi didn't stick, but a stunning S$14 million move to Bulgaria had him remembered as instrumental in FC Belashtica's rise through the ranks, as he helped take them from Division Five to Division Two in seven years, which included five league titles.

Hein's unreasonable price tag nonetheless hung over his head throughout his stay at FC Belashtica, with it being all but impossible to meet the sky-high expectations implied. This had his agent push for an exit, and a switch to Austria's lóng toro achieved his long-desired reset, and the attention of his national scouts.

"He's a prodigy through and through." assistant coach Abdul bin Jantan remarked. "Now that the pressure's off and he has the support and stage to express himself, I think we will be seeing what Hein is truly capable of, very soon!"
