The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team
tiegdir went for 3-5-2 while
Grilled Birds has decided to play a 2-5-3 lineup. Today,
tiegdir's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks, taking advantage of their
outstanding level with that tactic.
Grilled used their
divine (+7) ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when
Chia Kwang Tse slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against
Chau An Wai, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes.
Yeoh Tse Sze managed to make an excellent pass from the wing, but
Tang Li Yew was not as skillful and couldn't finish it off. It was obvious that team
Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. The visiting
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 29 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score.

tiegdir's
Jedidiah Ni set up a perfect opportunity for
Troy Tu, but the latter failed to score. After 60 minutes,
Grilled's
Chad Thach surprised everyone as he managed to intercept a pass intended for the opposing keeper and flip it in, making the score 1 - 5. 61 minutes into the match,
夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide.

Troy Tu, but the ball bounced off the post to safety.
Raúl Himadas received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 64 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 6. The
Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
Nordin Khairul Helmi from
tiegdir a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 69 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! With 71 minutes played,
Grilled put themselves up 1 - 7 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
Chad Thach.
Gandhik Chitre wanted to play on, but the
Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 89 minutes into the game by

Damian Hutter after 89 minutes. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 4 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for
Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. With 91 minutes played,
Raúl Himadas nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. The match ends 1 - 7.
