The fans braved the pouring rain at the stadium today. While a boggy pitch like this was an advantage for physical players, it really didn't help those who relied on speed or technique. Grilled Birds entered the field in a 2-5-3 formation. The visitors, langkousjes FC, chose to start the game with a 3-5-2 lineup. Grilled clearly preferred using their divine (+5) ability to attack in the middle. langkousjes used their excellent skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field. The pressing tactics used by langkousjes were successful as the ball remained close to the half way line at all times. Radomil Marcol looked great 10 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' Bruno Endrizzi. Grilled fans held their breath as Lim An Keng scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! With 21 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Chad Thach, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. It was showtime for artist Gandhik Chitre who showed off his technical mastery when he rounded Michał Dylik and finished with a goal to make the score 3 - 0. Grilled's Chad Thach saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 28 minutes. 3 - 0 was the halftime score. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.

46 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) gave Aw Keng Chuan a quick hug as he left the field. The Grilled captaincy was handed to Darko 'Donnie' Andrović. Cheers filled the stadium as Mohd Marzuki Khairul broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to Grilled. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Grilled to 5 - 0 as Lim An Keng finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. Grilled solidified their lead at the 63 minute mark, as Hwang Teck Fu dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 6 - 0. The bench was restless, and with 70 minutes passed langkousjes's coach gave Settimio Gobbetti the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Nasser Al-Harbien reluctantly left the field. langkousjes's ability to press all over the field frequently paid dividends. Raúl Himadas increased Grilled's lead to 7 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Damian Hutter came on for Raúl Himadas. As Raúl Himadas exited the field, 元気 (Genki) 長野 (Nagano) volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 2 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 7 - 0. Grilled had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.

Lim An Keng performed admirably for Grilled. The most dominating langkousjes player was without a doubt Julian Hochseilgarten.
