As the teams spread out over the pitch, it became clear that they would both be using a 2-5-3 formation today. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their mythical level with that tactic. Lauri Kokko came close to putting the visiting team one up 12 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but Khairil Anwar Hashim Mohd Ismail managed to tip the ball to a corner. It wasn't a pretty goal, but the free kick by Raúl Himadas after 13 minutes somehow found its way past the keeper. Grilled takes the lead, 1 - 0! Chia Kwang Tse unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Against a lesser team, Polonez could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 15 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. 22 minutes into the match, a typically brave header by Chia Kwang Tse from 冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya)'s cross looped just over the opposing goalkeeper's desperate reach. Goal for Grilled, making the score 2 - 0. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Chia Kwang Tse increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Aw Keng Chuan should probably have put his team up another goal after 23 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by Kazimierz Chałupka kept the visitors in the game. 3 - 0 was the score after the first half. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

Khairil Anwar Hashim Mohd Ismail would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Dahan Bok entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes. 47 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Chia Kwang Tse broke through, making the score 4 - 0 for Grilled. This third goal completed a hattrick for Chia Kwang Tse. Grilled's Paulino Trindade swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. After 60 minutes, the Polonez coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Hacène Duc off the field. Krzysztof Napierała took his place. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Teo Chuan Yong" class="homeplayer">Teo Chuan Yong came on for Markus Pallas. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 1 minute as stoppage time. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. Chia Kwang Tse could have increased the lead after 89 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. The match ends 4 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.

Grilled's top performer was clearly Chia Kwang Tse. The most dominating Polonez player was without a doubt Lauri Kokko.
