FC Krendos entered the field in a 3-5-2 formation. The visitors, Grilled Birds, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup. Grilled clearly preferred using their divine (+5) ability to attack in the middle. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 2 minutes allowed Gandhik Chitre to score for Grilled. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. Lim An Keng laid it on a plate with that delivery! With the scoreboard showing that 14 minutes had been played, Grilled nearly put themselves up another goal after Hwang Teck Fu came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. With 20 minutes having been played, FCK scored to make it 1 - 1. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but Manfréd 'Manny' Belányi was marked down as the scorer. Down the middle came Gandhik Chitre, making a fantastic play that nearly had Grilled take the lead after 32 minutes, but Hernâni 'The Spider' Chão preserved the tie. Carlos Alberto 'Unpredictable' Roman gave FCK the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 2 - 1 The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Aw Keng Chuan entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes. Darko 'Donnie' Andrović was the new captain of Grilled - handed the armband by the departing player. The visitors didn't give in and, after 54 minutes, Chad Thach got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 2 - 2. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Ari 'Finnair' Uitti from FCK a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 55 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Manfréd 'Manny' Belányi caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 63 minutes. This gave FCK the 3 - 2 lead. After 67 minutes, Carlos Alberto 'Unpredictable' Roman put FCK ahead 4 - 2 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Amer 'Bosniaco' Brkljača pulled the strings in the build-up. 77 minutes into the game, Grilled's attack got through on the right, but Raúl Himadas couldn't handle the ball and his feeble kick wound up in the keeper's arms. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in FCK's Carlos Alberto 'Unpredictable' Roman increasing the lead to 5 - 2. By then Carlos Alberto 'Unpredictable' Roman had scored three goals - a hat trick! Hernâni 'The Spider' Chão made a brilliant save 80 minutes into the match, blocking a rocket of a shot from Brian 'Was Born' Reddy on the right hand side. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Raúl Himadas reluctantly made way for Damian Hutter on the pitch. As Raúl Himadas exited the field, 元気 (Genki) 長野 (Nagano) volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 2 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 5 - 2. Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.
