It was a cloudy day at the stadium today. Grilled fielded: Marcol - Himadas, 其材 (Qicai) - Reddy, Khairul, 長野 (Nagano), Teck Fu, Andrović - Thach, Chitre, An Keng.

The following players took the field for Brainless: Jadnanansing - Vlăescu, Birzle, Natriashvili - Rivera, Wagenbauer, Artelenburg, Trattnig, Hombedeu - Fossum, Steckeln.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 2-5-3 formation while the visitors instead opted for 3-5-2. Grilled clearly preferred using their divine (+5) ability to attack in the middle. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to Gandhik Chitre, but the Grilled player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) should probably have put his team up another goal after 22 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by Christoph Jadnanansing kept the visitors in the game. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 29 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but Christoph Jadnanansing got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. Darko 'Donnie' Andrović could have increased the lead after 32 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Grilled were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 34 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by Raúl Himadas. 2 - 0 for the home side. Niels Birzle was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was drilled in by Diego Hombedeu, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Brainless, with 51 percent of the ball.

After 46 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) off the field. Aw Keng Chuan took his place. The Grilled captaincy was handed to Darko 'Donnie' Andrović. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Lim An Keng had a fantastic opportunity to put Grilled up another goal 65 minutes into the match after a pass through the middle set him free, but he fired just over the crossbar. The home team's fans were upset when, after 73 minutes, the visiting Amiran Natriashvili broke through the central defence and kicked the ball past the keeper. 2 - 1 was the score. Raúl Himadas would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Damian Hutter entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 89 minutes. As Raúl Himadas exited the field, 元気 (Genki) 長野 (Nagano) volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. The match ends 2 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Brainless, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

Gandhik Chitre performed admirably for Grilled. Most important Brainless player was Ralph Fossum.
