As the teams spread out over the pitch, it became clear that they would both be using a 2-5-3 formation today. Grilled clearly preferred using their divine (+5) ability to attack in the middle. Grilled took the lead 2 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. Raúl Himadas was the scorer. After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 17 minutes into the match, an alert José Girón bagged the ball for Prometheus, levelling the score to 1 - 1. Grilled's Mohd Marzuki Khairul managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 30 minutes. 1 - 2. After 31 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Lim An Keng a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 3. With 34 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 1 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Brian 'Was Born' Reddy. Francisco Jesús Matamala did everything he could to get one back for his Prometheus, but keeper Radomil Marcol denied him with a spectacular block. 1 - 4 was the halftime score. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

46 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) gave Aw Keng Chuan a quick hug as he left the field. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Darko 'Donnie' Andrović took over the role of being the Grilled captain. The home crowd were delighted when Nanda Phyo Aung scored with a header after an attack from the right, making the score 2 - 4. But did he use his hand? That'll be one for the pundits to talk about after the game, that's for sure! The visitors added to their lead 59 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Grilled's Raúl Himadas slid just past the home keeper. 2 - 5. 71 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Prometheus substitution. Misheck Nyirenda came on for Douglas Stevens. After 80 minutes, the Prometheus coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Matteo Mezzina off the field. Gabriel Crow took his place. As the 80 minute mark approached, the Prometheus coach decided it was time for a substitution. Francisco Jesús Matamala reluctantly made way for Jens-Olaf Ziemann on the pitch. Raúl Himadas would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Damian Hutter entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 89 minutes. Raúl Himadas was coming off, and had placed his last free kick for the day. That meant that 元気 (Genki) 長野 (Nagano) got the chance to showcase his dead ball skills. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 2 minutes beyond the regular 90 minutes. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. The visitors' Damian Hutter took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 89 minutes into the match. 2 - 6 for Grilled. The match ends 2 - 6. Grilled had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

Prometheus's best player was José Girón. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Lim An Keng.
