Clear skies welcomed the spectators who had made their way to the stadium today.
Grilled's lineup was:

其材 (Qicai) -

Khairul,
長野 (Nagano),
Teck Fu,
Andrović -
Thach,
Chitre,
An Keng.
The following players had been chosen by
BobbyJo:
Brennan -
Cook,
Wood,
Morton -
Ravello,

Holland,

Croxton -
Jansson,
Secklers.
Grilled Birds fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For
BobbyJo, the formation of choice was 3-5-2.
Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their
divine (+5) level with that tactic. Some great play up the middle by
Grilled led to a chance for
Mohd Marzuki Khairul to score after 3 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 16 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
Gandhik Chitre, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. A well-timed setup from
Chad Thach preceded the goal.
Gandhik Chitre could not have asked for a better set-up than that corner by
Raúl Himadas. It left him with a clear shot at goal, but he botched it. The visitors didn't give in and, after 30 minutes,
Sture Jansson got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of
BobbyJo's
Dudley Holland after 32 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 1 - 2 lead. It was obvious that team
Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings.
Grilled put pressure on the visitors' central defence 34 minutes into the game, but
Mohd Marzuki Khairul couldn't find an opening.
BobbyJo's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing
David Cook to score easily from the right flank for 1 - 3. After 36 minutes
Hwang Teck Fu could have reduced the lead with a blistering strike from the left wing, had it not been for an excellent block by the visitors' keeper.
BobbyJo came close to extending their lead as
Helmut Secklers delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 38 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. Halftime score was 1 - 3. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.
As the 46 minute mark approached, the
Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) reluctantly made way for
Aw Keng Chuan on the pitch.
Darko 'Donnie' Andrović became the new
Grilled captain. Some fine movement on the left led to a
BobbyJo goal after 47 minutes, making it 1 - 4.
Sture Jansson was noted down as the scorer. With 83 minutes played,
BobbyJo put themselves up 1 - 5 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
Nick Wood. 85 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a
Grilled substitution.
Paulino Trindade came on for
Darko 'Donnie' Andrović.
元気 (Genki) 長野 (Nagano) was the new captain of
Grilled - handed the armband by the departing player. After 89 minutes, the
Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
Raúl Himadas off the field.
Damian Hutter took his place.
Raúl Himadas was coming off, and had placed his last free kick for the day. That meant that
元気 (Genki) 長野 (Nagano) got the chance to showcase his dead ball skills. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 2 minutes beyond the regular 90 minutes. After 89 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Dudley Holland who increased
BobbyJo's lead to 1 - 6.
Faustino Ravello pulled the strings in the build-up. The match ends 1 - 6. This part of the game was a standoff between the teams in terms of possession.
The most dominating
Grilled player was without a doubt
Gandhik Chitre.
BobbyJo's best player was
Sture Jansson.
