Clear skies welcomed the 57569 spectators who had made their way to

Raúl Himadas scored from the penalty spot. After 13 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
元気 (Genki) 長野 (Nagano) might have resulted in another goal for
Grilled. However,
Romeo Gasparroni made a spectacular save. 14 minutes into the game,
Elijah Gardner finished off a
newbies left wing counterattack, making the score 1 - 1. 21 minutes into the game,
Zhong Kim Tse almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
Chen Meng Heng shows no mercy as he runs straight at the
Grilled playmaker, then stumbling through the ensuing mess with the ball and scoring for
newbies. That's 1-2 from the power forward, 22 minutes in!
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy went down after twisting his right ankle after 32 minutes, and had to leave the pitch.
Paulino Trindade tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. After 35 minutes,
Ghani Zakwan suffered a slight injury to his left calf muscle. However, it was not enough to stop him from continuing the game. 1 - 2 was the score after the first half. Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.
Wan Wadi Syarif would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
Aw Da Hui entered the game for
newbies as the match clock showed 46 minutes.
Kevin Gibson was the new captain of
newbies - handed the armband by the departing player. With 57 minutes played,

Chia Kwang Tse put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 73 minutes, but the ball went wide. With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 79 minutes played,

Grilled fans held their breath as
Chia Kwang Tse scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 4 - 3! Cheers filled the stadium as
Chia Kwang Tse broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 3 to
Grilled. As the 89 minute mark approached, the
Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Chia Kwang Tse reluctantly made way for
Kendell El Khateeb on the pitch. The referee announced 3 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 5 - 3. This part of the game was a standoff between the teams in terms of possession.
Raúl Himadas performed admirably for
Grilled.
newbies's top performer was clearly
Elijah Gardner.
