Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for AMDK on this day, taking advantage of their world class level with that tactic. Grilled clearly preferred using their divine (+6) ability to attack in the middle. Grilled took the lead 3 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. Gandhik Chitre was the scorer. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. After 12 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Raúl Himadas who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 2. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. Lim An Keng received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 32 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, Brian 'Was Born' Reddy would have put Grilled up another goal 33 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

With 58 minutes played, Grilled's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to Mohd Marzuki Khairul he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 0 - 4. As the 59 minute mark approached, the AMDK coach decided it was time for a substitution. Miguel Ascaso reluctantly made way for Ramón Ismael Coria on the pitch. AMDK almost scored after a swift counterattack 64 minutes into the game, but Quinto Checchinato put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. After 66 minutes, Grilled's Aw Keng Chuan burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5. After 68 minutes, the AMDK coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Jean-Philippe Verfaillie off the field. Dimitar Venev took his place. AMDK reduced the lead to 1 - 5 with 72 minutes on the clock when Mithat Güder got the best of a ball floated in from the left. All credit to Christoph Kreidl for that clever assist. 74 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a AMDK substitution. Dani Landry came on for Mithat Güder. At the 75 minute mark, AMDK's Vasil Stoyanov squeezed his left hand in a collision with another player, but was able to carry on. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 2 minutes as stoppage time. Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. After 90 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Mohd Marzuki Khairul a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 6. The match ends 1 - 6. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.

AMDK's top performer was clearly Adli Mohd Khyril. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Mohd Marzuki Khairul.
