Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and The Cooking Pot saw a crowd turnout of 67531. Pietro Cibò was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Issah Adu and Donny Weinberg. Grilled's lineup was: Bok - Himadas, 其材 (Qicai) - Reddy, Khairul, Keng Chuan, Kwang Tse, Trindade - Thach, Chitre, An Keng.

Singapore fielded: Westerlaan - Walsh, Ryaboshapko - Da Kong, Lobashov, Báthory-Bozó, Eloidze, Naik - Veerma, Yeng Hock, Singh.

The teams both lined up their players in 2-5-3 formations. The visitors could have taken the lead from a free kick after 20 minutes, if it wasn't for the jaw-dropping save by Dahan Bok. Brian 'Was Born' Reddy caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 27 minutes. This gave Grilled the 1 - 0 lead. 29 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Gandhik Chitre broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Grilled. Cheers filled the stadium as Aw Keng Chuan broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to Grilled. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

Grilled's Raúl Himadas swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. With 60 minutes played, Grilled's Gandhik Chitre almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Chad Thach increasing the lead to 4 - 0. Singapore managed to reduce the score to 4 - 1 as Csaba Báthory-Bozó finished off a well-played combination from the left, easily carving through the defence. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Chad Thach squirmed through their central defence after 74 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 1. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Damian Hutter came on for Raúl Himadas. As Raúl Himadas exited the field, Aw Keng Chuan volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Chad Thach reluctantly made way for Hwang Teck Fu on the pitch. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 1 minute beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 5 - 1. Grilled had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.

Gandhik Chitre performed admirably for Grilled. Most important Singapore player was Madhuban Singh.
