The crowd of 12000 turning up at jeepsteep Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Claudio Eufrate was the appointed referee with assistance provided by 林 (Lin) 福威 (Fuwei) and John Bush. For strong, physical players the heavy rain was easy to overcome, it was even an advantage given their style of play. jeepsteep 2 fielded a 4-4-2 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was 2-5-3. Grilled took the lead after 11 minutes making the score 0 - 1. Chad Thach placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. The visitors added to their lead 18 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Grilled's Aw Keng Chuan slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 2. An indecisive keeper looked on as a free kick by Grilled's Aw Keng Chuan put the visitors up 0 - 3 after 20 minutes. 26 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 4 as Hwang Teck Fu finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The visitors' Chad Thach took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 28 minutes into the match. 0 - 5 for Grilled. Halftime score was 0 - 5. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 77 percent.

Grilled came close to extending their lead as Mohd Marzuki Khairul delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 71 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. The referee signalled a penalty 72 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. Aw Keng Chuan knocked it home to make the score 0 - 6. This third goal completed a hattrick for Aw Keng Chuan. With the scoreboard showing that 81 minutes had been played, Grilled nearly put themselves up another goal after Gandhik Chitre came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. 82 minutes into the match, Lim An Keng came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Lai Nie Xin got a fingertip on Lim An Keng's shot from the left 83 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Brian 'Was Born' Reddy reluctantly made way for Teo Chuan Yong on the pitch. The referee announced 1 minute of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 0 - 6. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 77 percent of the ball.

jeepsteep's top performer was clearly Zhuang Ze Ze. However, Manmohan Panchal made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Chad Thach. Teo Chuan Yong on the other hand, had a terrible day.
