Grilled 1 - 9 Arrogancae

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and The Cooking Pot saw a crowd turnout of 61689. Pierre-Charles Péron was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Valter Sõnajalg and Braulio Jacobo. The following players took the field for Grilled: Law - Keng Chuan, 其材 (Qicai) - Reddy, Teck Fu, Kwang Tse, Khairul, Parada - Thach, Chitre, An Keng.

Arrogancae's starters: Bennett - Meléndez, Sâmpetru, Pălcuţ - Condan, ShibilitiSanya, Zoppi, Santos, Isaksen - Matinlassi, Ventura.

Grilled Birds started the game in a 2-5-3 formation, whereas Arrogancae lined up in a 3-5-2 formation. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+9) (29) level with that tactic. Matías Lautaro Zoppi of Arrogancae seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 0 - 1 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by Daniel Pălcuţ. A drive down the left side allowed Constantino Ventura to get in close and score another goal for Arrogancae after 14 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2. 31 minutes into the game, Arrogancae were awarded a penalty and Daniel Pălcuţ was able to increase the visitors' lead to 0 - 3 rolling the ball in by the right post. After 34 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Marcel Condan to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 4. With 41 minutes played, Chia Kwang Tse of Grilled fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Arrogancae increased their lead after 42 minutes when Oskari Matinlassi broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 5, much to the home crowd's dismay. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 5. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

The visitors' Adolfo Meléndez took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 53 minutes into the match. 0 - 6 for Arrogancae. Arrogancae's opponents know to be wary of René Isaksen's speed, but it made little difference as he flew past the defence 70 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive! The swift technical skills of Oskari Matinlassi were often too much for the tall but somewhat slow 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) who was humiliated after 81 minutes. He'll be breathing a huge sigh of relief after the final shot went wide. After 82 minutes, Arrogancae's Marcel Condan burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 7. 84 minutes into the game a free kick by Daniel Pălcuţ found its way through the home side's poorly assembled defensive formation, making Arrogancae's lead 0 - 8. Grilled supporters cheered as good work down the right got the ball to 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) who reduced the visitors' lead after 85 minutes to 1 - 8. Cătălin Sâmpetru of Arrogancae took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 86 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 9. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Hugo Jesus Santos got himself booked. The manager of Arrogancae was not happy. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. Brian 'Was Born' Reddy would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Paulino Trindade entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 89 minutes. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Teo Chuan Yong came on for Aw Keng Chuan. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Gandhik Chitre reluctantly made way for Chan Ze Han on the pitch. Cameron Law got a fingertip on Constantino Ventura's shot from the left 89 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 4 minutes beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 1 - 9. This part of the game was a standoff between the teams in terms of possession.

Most important Grilled player was Lim An Keng. Teo Chuan Yong on the other hand, had a terrible day. Arrogancae's best player was Oskari Matinlassi. Cătălin Sâmpetru turned in a dismal performance, however.
