Grilled 10 - 0 Tigers

61030 spectators had come to The Cooking Pot this cloudy day. Claus Weiher was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Darren Ferrer and Sergio Garcés. Everyone was excited about the upcoming Jurong derby and the crowd was divided evenly. The following players took the field for Grilled: Germanakos - Keng Chuan, 其材 (Qicai) - Reddy, Thach, Kwang Tse, An Keng, Parada - La Face, Thoroddsen, Tokarz.

Tigers's lineup was: Trombi - 國南 (Guonan), Kmínek, Telese, 浩祥 (Haoxiang), Nyffenegger - Asaris, Zorzoană, Vinnem - Kervalidze, Dani.

Grilled Birds entered the field in a 2-5-3 formation. The visitors, The Sing Tigers, chose to start the game with a 5-3-2 lineup. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+7) (27) level with that tactic. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Tigers, taking advantage of their world class (13) level with that tactic. Grilled fans held their breath as Evandro La Face scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! 7 minutes into the game, Tigers seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to solid (7). A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Chad Thach increasing the lead to 2 - 0. The referee showed Tigers's Subarjo Dani the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by Orest Tokarz. At last, Grilled's Evandro La Face was able to backheel the ball in. 3 - 0. Cheers filled the stadium as Brian 'Was Born' Reddy broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to Grilled. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Brian 'Was Born' Reddy squirmed through their central defence after 42 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 0. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. 44 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Brian 'Was Born' Reddy broke through, making the score 6 - 0 for Grilled. This third goal completed a hattrick for Brian 'Was Born' Reddy. Grilled's Orest Tokarz saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 44 minutes. Halftime score was 6 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 71 percent of the time.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Tigers was able to get his message across, and raised Tigers's organisation to solid (7). After 61 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and Gústav Thoroddsen gave the Grilled supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 7 - 0. The goal for 8 - 0 was a funny story: after 72 minutes the seemingly nonchalant lob from Grilled's Chad Thach landed at the feet of Evandro La Face who sidefooted it into the net - nice goal! That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for Evandro La Face. Grilled solidified their lead at the 73 minute mark, as Evandro La Face dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 9 - 0. 74 minutes in, Tigers appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable (6). A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Chad Thach increasing the lead to 10 - 0. Gústav Thoroddsen should probably have put his team up another goal after 76 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by Mario Trombi kept the visitors in the game. A counterattack by Tigers after 77 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but Yngve Vinnem, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off. Grilled's Brian 'Was Born' Reddy placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but Aw Keng Chuan couldn't finish. Orest Tokarz would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Chan Ze Han entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 89 minutes. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Aw Keng Chuan gave Hwang Teck Fu a quick hug as he left the field. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Federico Parada off the field. Gandhik Chitre took his place. As Federico Parada left the field, the coach signaled to Chan Ze Han to be the new set pieces taker. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 4 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 10 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 72 percent of the ball.

Grilled's top performer was clearly Evandro La Face. Hwang Teck Fu was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Tigers player was without a doubt Subarjo Dani. On the other hand, José Telese's play was disheartening.
