Grilled had a chance to take the lead after Mohd Marzuki Khairul's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 19 minutes. With 25 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as Aw Keng Chuan flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. Orest Tokarz could have increased the lead after 27 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. After 29 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Orest Tokarz might have resulted in another goal for Grilled. However, Sylvain Briant made a spectacular save. The referee showed Grilled's Aw Keng Chuan the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Orest Tokarz had a fantastic opportunity to put Grilled up another goal 36 minutes into the match after a pass through the middle set him free, but he fired just over the crossbar. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 55 percent of the ball.

Orest Tokarz would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Joe Reece entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes. Chaser(R)'s right side looked dangerous 58 minutes in, but Dimitris Germanakos made a good save on Li Jie Meng's hard shot to the top corner. Evandro La Face should probably have put his team up another goal after 73 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by Sylvain Briant kept the visitors in the game. With 74 minutes played, the visitors could have drawn level after Mikkjal av Lofti came through the middle, but his shot went wide. With 75 minutes having been played, his teammates looked on in disbelief as Li Jie Meng thoughtlessly misplayed the ball, setting up Grilled's Evandro La Face for an easy goal. 2 - 0. 76 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Joe Reece broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Grilled. It emerged that Florin Tarara had hurt his right foot after 77 minutes, which led him to abandon the game. Talib Umman tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Hwang Teck Fu reluctantly made way for Gandhik Chitre on the pitch. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Mohd Marzuki Khairul gave Chad Thach a quick hug as he left the field. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 1 minute. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 3 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

Most important Grilled player was Evandro La Face. Dimitris Germanakos was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Chaser(R) player was without a doubt 省伍 (Shogo) 山岡 (Yamaoka). On the other hand, Sylvain Briant's play was disheartening.
