Grilled 8 - 0 Power
3129 spectators had found their way to
The Cooking Pot, despite the heavy rain.
Willibald Woisetschläger was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Márió Tyúkász and
Floriant Thomas. While a boggy pitch like this was an advantage for physical players, it really didn't help those who relied on speed or technique. Grilled's lineup was:
Law -
Jaška,
El Khateeb -
Trindade,
Thach,
Keng Chuan,
Khairul,
Ferzan -
Reece,
La Face,
Chitre.
The following players had been chosen by Power:
Ríos Ríos -
Cione,
Mârza,
Alborghetti -
Jennen,
Delaunay,
Spaans,
Nielen,
van der Meulen -
Drusian,
van Meeuwen.
The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team Grilled Birds went for 2-5-3 while Boss Power has decided to play a 3-5-2 lineup. Grilled displayed their supernatural (14) ability to play creatively. The wings were the focus of most of Power's attacks on this day, taking advantage of their brilliant (11) level with that tactic. After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
Joe Reece scored for Grilled putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 2 minutes. After 14 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
Evandro La Face gave the Grilled supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0. 15 minutes into the game, Power seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate (5) level of organisation. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Grilled to 3 - 0 as
Egemen Dinçer Ferzan finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. The score became 4 - 0 at 31 minutes into the game, when Grilled were given a penalty which
Radovan Jaška blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! Power's
Thomas Delaunay took a knock to the head after 34 minutes, due to a badly executed header. He looked wobbly for a second, but eventually just laughed it off and continued playing.
Gandhik Chitre could have put Grilled up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 36 minutes. Power's
Corsin Cione was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 37 minutes. After 40 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Power found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to weak (4). 4 - 0 was the score after the first half. Grilled had most of the ball, with 74 percent of possession.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Power was able to get his message across, and raised Power's organisation to solid (7). With 50 minutes played, Grilled's
Gandhik Chitre almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. Grilled's
Evandro La Face increased the lead to 5 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 59 minutes. An accurate cross from
Egemen Dinçer Ferzan of Grilled was met with a wonderful glancing header from
Evandro La Face, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 6 - 0. This third goal completed a hattrick for
Evandro La Face.
Mohsen El Khateeb would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
Teo Chuan Yong entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 70 minutes. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Gandhik Chitre gave
Bilal Mohammad Harun a quick hug as he left the field. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 3 minutes as stoppage time. 90 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
Evandro La Face broke through, making the score 7 - 0 for Grilled. Cheers filled the stadium as
Chad Thach broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 8 - 0 to Grilled. The match ends 8 - 0. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 76 percent of possession.
Most important Grilled player was
Evandro La Face.
Radovan Jaška turned in a dismal performance, however. Power's top performer was clearly
Thomas Delaunay. On the other hand,
Juan Ríos Ríos's play was disheartening.
