Clear skies welcomed the 29026 spectators who had made their way to SCR Stadium. Valentino Loosli was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gregory Woodward and Steven Gerrard. The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team Shadow Chaser(R) SC went for 3-5-2 while Grilled Birds has decided to play a 2-5-3 lineup. Chaser(R) used their solid (7) skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field. It was an obvious ambition of Grilled to use their divine (+4) (24) ability at attacking on the flanks. It was obvious that Grilled had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. Aw Keng Chuan had a good opportunity to give Grilled the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. With 32 minutes played, Joe Reece of Grilled fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Chaser(R) pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. Players in Grilled heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Grilled's Joe Reece after 34 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. Gústav Thoroddsen of Grilled received a yellow card after 36 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. A drive down the left side allowed Gústav Thoroddsen to get in close and score another goal for Grilled after 40 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2. 41 minutes into the game, Grilled worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. A slight injury to his left calf muscle meant Gústav Thoroddsen had to leave the match early. It happened after 42 minutes. The replacement for the injured player was Evandro La Face. It was 0 - 2 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.

Aw Keng Chuan left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. Damian Hutter was the replacement. With Aw Keng Chuan no longer on the pitch, Joe Reece took over free kick duty. Evandro La Face of Grilled took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 47 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 3. Always a threat, Thom Godling tore past his marker and placed the ball right at the feet of the waiting Mitja Tolonen who should have easily scored for Chaser(R), but the ball went wide. 56 minutes into the match, Orest Tokarz came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Li Jie Meng caught everyone by surprise with a unexpected volley after 60 minutes. Thom Godling was perfectly placed to take advantage of the play, but unfortunately, he was as surprised as anyone and couldn't finish for Chaser(R). 70 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 4 as Egemen Dinçer Ferzan finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Mohd Marzuki Khairul reluctantly made way for Lim An Keng on the pitch. The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 0 - 4. Grilled had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

Chaser(R)'s best player was 省伍 (Shogo) 山岡 (Yamaoka). On the other hand, Julian Pilichiewicz's play was disheartening. Most important Grilled player was Evandro La Face. Damian Hutter on the other hand, had a terrible day.
