Trinken 1 - 7 Grilled
The spectators at the stadium today were in for an afternoon of sunshine. The weather was sunny, which meant perfect conditions for technical players in both teams. However, it was also quite warm, which meant quick or physically strong players were drained faster and couldn't play their best game. The following players took the field:
Capătă -
Krinochkin,
Barbacana,
Sântimbrean,
Nikraftar,
Da Roza -
景耀 (Jingyao),
Arrostito -
Di raimondo,
Sadczuk,
de Velasco.
They fielded:
Germanakos -
Keng Chuan,
其材 (Qicai) -
Reddy,
Thach,
Kwang Tse,
Khairul,
Trindade -
Reece,
Thoroddsen,
Tokarz.
Rot Weiß Trinken fielded a 5-2-3 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was a 2-5-3. For their match strategy, Trinken had decided to use their mythical (17) ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Grilled's
Aw Keng Chuan gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 26 minutes with a superb strike from the right. 29 minutes into the game, Trinken had difficulty finding their positions and their organization dropped to wretched (2). After 36 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defense allowed
Joe Reece to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. With 37 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy. The home crowd was not impressed when
Gústav Thoroddsen came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 41 minutes. Grilled were now up 0 - 4. 42 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 5 as
Mohd Marzuki Khairul finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular bicycle kick. It was 0 - 5 at the break. Now to our celebrity commentator for a hot take. Over to you, Snoop! The Trinken coach might have gone through a whole marker putting the playbook up on the board, but it seemed to have worked, with the team regaining a inadequate (5) organization for the second half. The visitors'
Aw Keng Chuan took advantage of a mix-up between the home side's goalie and center backs 54 minutes into the match. 0 - 6 for Grilled. Trinken's
Martín Nestor Arrostito set up a perfect opportunity for
Luiz Otávio de Velasco, but the latter failed to score. 70 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a Grilled substitution.
Evandro La Face came on for
Orest Tokarz. 70 minutes into the game,
Martín Nestor Arrostito put the finishing touch on a counter-attack down the left wing by Trinken. 1 - 6. After 71 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Mohd Marzuki Khairul who increased Grilled's lead to 1 - 7. As the 85 minute mark approached, the Grilled manager decided it was time for a substitution.
Gústav Thoroddsen reluctantly made way for
Phua Ming Xin. The ball was in the back of the home team's net yet again after 87 minutes, but this time the referee called the goal back because
夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) had knocked a member of the opposing team to the ground while the play occurred down the middle of the field. The referee showed Grilled's
Mohd Marzuki Khairul the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 3 minutes of added time, they welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 1 - 7. Well, look at this! Cardi B is on the Enormotron in naught but giant sunglasses and a Twisted Metal F.C. tank top. I've not seen anything like it before.
Giuliano Di raimondo performed admirably for Trinken. Speaking of stinking up the place,
Moisés Barbacana sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. Grilled's best player was
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy. I can't remember
Dimitris Germanakos ever having a worse night than he just had.
