Bal-op-dak-7 2 - 4 Grilled

The spectators at the stadium today were in for an afternoon of sunshine. The weather was sunny, which meant perfect conditions for technical players in both teams. However, it was also quite warm, which meant quick or physically strong players were drained faster and couldn't play their best game. Starters: Dorigatti - van Amstel, Warpas - Madushanka, 平杰 (Pingjie), Finol, China, Halbheer - Dillen, Vang, Gessl.

The following players had been selected: Germanakos - Keng Chuan, Hutter - Reddy, Thach, An Keng, Khairul, Trindade - Reece, Ming Xin, Tokarz.

The coaches were in sync today, as both teams lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. The visiting Lim An Keng was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 14 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. After 21 minutes, Erwin Finol rushed down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the 1 - 1 goal. The bleachers were silenced after 28 minutes when Grilled's Joe Reece put the guests ahead 1 - 2, following an attack on the right. Big paper red cards were being held up by the opposing supporters with 29 minutes on the clock after Julius Gessl's mistimed tackle from behind. The referee only showed the Bal-op-dak-7 player a yellow card though. 1 - 2 was the halftime score. Let's go to the Twittersphere to see what the fans think of the game so far! says With 47 minutes on the clock, Bal-op-dak-7's Iver Vang found an opening in the visitors' left side, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper. With 65 minutes played, Grilled's Brian 'Was Born' Reddy received a yellow card for challenging a play with his cleats first. Grilled's Paulino Trindade received a ball slotted perfectly through the home side's central defense after 67 minutes, and chipped it past the helpless keeper to increase the lead to 1 - 3. The away fans won't regret traveling for this one! A corner kick created massive confusion in the penalty area, with a near-goal by Ezequiel China. At last, Bal-op-dak-7's Julius Gessl was able to will the ball into the net. 2 - 3. With 75 minutes gone, Grilled's Brian 'Was Born' Reddy had to leave the game after talking back to the referee and receiving his second booking. As Grilled's captain went off, he handed the armband to Lim An Keng. Bal-op-dak-7 put pressure on the visitors' central defense with 78 minutes played, but Iver Vang couldn't find an opening. The visitors' Orest Tokarz took advantage of a mix-up between the home side's goalie and center backs 79 minutes into the match. 2 - 4 for Grilled. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 3 minutes of added time, they welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 2 - 4. Well, look at this! Cardi B is on the Enormotron in naught but giant sunglasses and a Twisted Metal F.C. tank top. I've not seen anything like it before. Most important Bal-op-dak-7 player was Erwin Finol. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because Julius Gessl seemed to stumble all over the pitch. Chad Thach performed admirably for Grilled. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by Damian Hutter today.
